Following the edibo headquarters in Lommel, edibosud in Fernelmont and edibo Netherlands, we established a fourth business unit in 2022. Our Berchem subsidiary and its constructive challengers are pointing their arrows towards the Antwerp and East-Flanders regions. Business Unit Manager Maarten Roes checked the order book and noticed that sales have definitely started off. With one very familiar new client…

“Order book already full up to late 2025”

Two years ago, the edibo business unit Antwerp-Ghent became officially a fact. The result of months and months of commercial canvassing and exploring the markets.

Current Business Unit Manager Maarten Roes was at the helm. “There’s lots of industrial bustle in the Antwerp-Brussels-Ghent triangle. It was only a matter of finding the right time to tap into this market. We initiated meetings with both well-known and new architects and we came to the conclusion that we possessed all the requirements to demonstrate our strengths in this region as well.”

“Two years later and our order book is more than full, right now even up to late 2025. We delivered a couple of impressive projects, such as JRN Construct in Lokeren, DIC in Dendermonde and the construction of a new hall and the renovation of existing offices for Hamer in Kruibeke. We are still in full execution of Montea in Aalst, Soprema in Grobbendonk and Biscuiterie Thijs in Herentals.”

“Soon, we will be able to add another notable name to that remarkable list. Duvel Moortgat also signed a cooperation agreement with edibo. Another confirmation that the name ‘edibo’ rolls off the tongue easily, even in other parts of our country. Evidently, our customers and realisations of the past forty years are what form the foundations of this recognition.”

“We can continue to grow this unit with a healthy ambition. The goal should be to evolve into a branch that resembles that of our Walloon colleagues at edibosud.”

Following the footsteps of edibosud

“Since moving into our new offices in Berchem, we can confidently say that our newest business unit has been launched for the full 100%. Meanwhile, there are new and interesting tenders heading our way.”

“This means that we can continue to grow this unit with a healthy ambition. The goal should be to evolve into a branch that resembles that of our Walloon colleagues at edibosud.”

“Looking for a number of interesting profiles”

In order to boost our newest business unit for the long term, we are looking for new, motivated colleagues that have a technical (construction) background.

“High up on our priority list is a Calculator, followed closely by an Assistant Project Manager and a Project Manager. Given the beautiful location – within the Antwerp Singel – this office can be easily reached by bike or by train. This is an additional asset, apart from all the perspective projects, of course,” Maarten Roes concludes.
