A class 7 general contractor specialised in industrial construction, edibo is headquartered in Lommel and has branches in Fernelmont and Eindhoven. For 40 years, we have been building wonderful, challenging turn-key projects in Belgium and the south of the Netherlands for various sectors, such as food, logistics, production and automotive. The position
As Construction Project Engineer you will form the vital technical support for both sales and execution (internal), and for external parties (for example clients, government and external agencies). You will apply your technical knowledge in all aspects of the construction process and give advice on Dutch legislation and standards to be met during the sales process; you will also check that these are implemented correctly during the execution phase. Examples here are fire safety, construction methods, structures, calculations and quotations. You are familiar with Dutch customer requirements and include them in your advice. You are also involved in permit processes and can answer questions on project details. You take care of several projects at the same time, preferably in different phases. You will work in a (currently) small team and in your role will contribute to the further expansion of the Eindhoven branch. You are involved from initiative phase to execution.
The candidate
With 3-5 years’ work experience in a similar position, you know what it involves to work in a key technical position. You have a degree in engineering or civil engineering, and can also demonstrate experience with complex projects in (industrial) construction. You work well independently and take responsibility. You find it an interesting challenge to help shape the branch in Eindhoven and to continue its expansion together with the team. Safety is high on your list of priorities. You are a real connector.
- You have a Master’s diploma in a construction field and a clear interest in industrial construction;
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position, industrial construction is a prerequisite;
- You have experience with the legislation, standards and customer requirements on the Dutch (industrial) construction market;
- You feel challenged by ambitious and complex projects in industrial construction;
- You work well both independently and in a team and have strong communication skills;
- You have a solid and analytical approach and take responsibility for your work;
- You are keen to continuously improve your own knowledge and skills;
- You identify with edibo’s values;
- You are looking for a varied job in a construction-related work environment.
